The Atlantic Dental Center
Building
was an idea conceived by Dr. Trewet and Dr. Keith Bruce. It was designed
by Jim Paxton, an architect then practicing in Des Moines. He used the
architectural lines of the new hospital, across the street, as inspiration.
Construction was by Henningsen Construction, mechanical work by Camblin
Heating & Plumbing, and decorated by Heithoff Furniture, all of Atlantic.
It was open for business in December 1971. Since that time several dentists
and other professionals have occupied various spaces in the building. Currently,
Dr. Kim Stafford, an orthodontist from Omaha, uses the lower level as a
satellite office.
